Design and Development of a Comprehensive B2B Ordering Platform

This project was designed to digitize the wholesale ordering process in the porcelain industry. In the traditional B2B sales model, product selection, production requests, approvals, payment records, and communication between departments were handled through fragmented and mostly manual processes.

To centralize the entire workflow, a dedicated platform was designed where wholesale buyers can access the system using a secure token, review available designs and product models, submit detailed production orders, and track the status of each request.

After an order is submitted, it moves through a predefined approval workflow across different organizational departments. Each department can review, approve, reject, or return the order for revision. Customer payments and financial records are also stored within the same order file, creating a unified and traceable system for sales, finance, production, and delivery.

Client Need

The client required a centralized platform capable of managing the complete wholesale sales, production request, approval, and financial tracking process.

The main requirements included token-based buyer access, browsing available porcelain designs, detailed production order registration, quantity and specification management, multi-department approval workflows, approval and rejection actions, payment record management, real-time order status tracking, activity history, production and shipment coordination, and a complete digital record for every wholesale order.

Solution

To address these requirements, the platform frontend was designed and implemented as a modular enterprise application using React.

The buyer dashboard included product design browsing, new order registration, pending requests, payment history, and order tracking. Each submitted order entered a multi-stage workflow, with its status updated based on actions taken by sales, finance, production, and management departments.

A visual order timeline was designed to show every stage of the process, allowing both buyers and internal users to understand the exact status of an order at any time. Dynamic forms were also implemented so required fields could change based on product type and order specifications.

The frontend architecture followed a component-based approach, making forms, tables, dashboards, status indicators, and administrative modules reusable and scalable. Role-based visibility, permission-aware interfaces, and backend API integration were also considered throughout the design.

Project Result

The project transformed a fragmented and manual wholesale ordering process into a unified digital platform.

Wholesale buyers were able to review available designs, submit detailed orders, record payments, and track each request through production and delivery without relying on phone calls or scattered communications.

Internal departments also gained access to a structured and traceable workflow. All approvals, status changes, financial records, and order history were stored within a single order file.

The React-based architecture provided a scalable foundation for future modules and integrations with financial, warehouse, production, and logistics systems.
